this is the space directly beneath my table. You see, my table has one "leg" which branches out into four at the bottom. This space that is created under there is very hard to clean. Especially for someone so phlegmatically lazy as I am. Who wants to have to use the attachments on the vacuum EVERY time?!? So, it often stays messy under there. And even though I am a self-proclaimed lazy phlegmatic, it still bugs me. Grr.
Oh, and I HATE carpet in the dining area. Dumbest idea ever....well, maybe carpet in a bathroom is worse, but not much.

Totally agree with you on carpet in the dining room and in the bathroom. I think my worst though is carpet in the kitchen. I've had all three so I speak from experience. :)
Remember the carpet in the bathroom at Chapmans? Ugh. We pulled that stuff up pretty quick. Bathrooms, dining rooms and kitchens are definitely not the place for carpet.
