Hope, Reawakened

Over the weekend, my despair lifted. It is amazing how one small gift from the Lord can be so huge to me.
Jon was paid....by BOTH employers. God made things work at the office and they were able to give us a check, and our bills have been paid again.
Again.
God is good, again.
God provided. Again.
And yet, it is true that His timing is not ours. At all. I would much preferred not going to the wire with rent...not having to give them a check while still unsure the funds would be there at the end of the weekend. It's hard, and I don't like it.
But, God knew what He was doing all the time. Even when I was freaking out and Jon was freaking out and neither one of us could be really civil to each other because of the worry. Even when I humbled myself with my boss at the Church and told her I didn't think we'd have enough to pay our rent (and the Church was going to give us money if Jon wasn't paid!). Even when hope was in a coma and I wasn't sure it would ever revive...God knew what He was doing, and in some ways I can almost envision Him laughing at us. Not mockingly, but lovingly. "My children, stop worrying. I am taking care of it. Have peace, be still and wait."
Have peace, be still, and wait.
Words I long to live by, and ones I continually find myself having to be reminded of.

So, I lift up my voice and say Thank You, Lord. Thank You for Your provision once again. Thank You for hope renewed. Thank You for grace and love and for never giving up on us, even when we despair. Amen.

Oh I'm SO glad everything worked out! What a relief for you, I'm sure. It's so hard to be patient, to really throw everything onto his shoulders. We think we throw it and then we continue to worry, which means we basically took the burden back. It's not easy being human. ;-)

Love love love you, dear sister.

Never too late is a very hard one to not doubt...however we get lots of practice here on earth at here-we-go-again faith! Thank you Jesus for daily Manna provision!
BTW the olive post was scrumptious ~
