Christmas is on It's way

Here we are in December again....Christmas right around the corner. It's exciting and overwhelming. I love this time of year, with the beautiful decorations and pretty twinkly lights....with all the preparations and lovely smells from baking goodies.
I love celebrating Jesus' birth and am still in so much awe that God came to earth incarnate and as a lowly babe. Amazing love.

This year is a little different for us...usually we have a couple hundred dollars from our tax return to use for Christmas presents, and so are never worried about how to give presents. This year, we felt very strongly that we were to put all of the tax return (minus tithe) towards our car debt. It was so incredibly hard to do, there are so many other things we would rather do with so much money that seem a lot less selfish....but nevertheless we obeyed, and so we are making as many presents as we can and trying to make it all work out. I hope it all works out for the best.

Here's some of our Christmas activities so far:
Liam's loved his Advent calendar so far. He gets so excited to open each one:

Hand made presents are the best! I think that was a very wise choice for your family to make. I am proud of your decision and can't wait to see what those precious little hands of yours has come up with. ;-) I am making hand made gifts this year as well. I think it means more sometimes.

Love love love you.
