Feet Friday---a lesson in contentment

"I cried because I had no shoes, then I met a man who had no feet." -unknown
I found the quote first, and then the picture. In a time of economic uncertainty and and my own person battle with being content, I find the quote and picture very challenging. The things I "cry" about on a daily basis are nothing compared to the things people are dealing with around the world.
Tonight, I choose to be grateful for my feet. :-)

Feet Friday was begun by my dear mommy. Go check out her feet friday post!!!

I recently had lunch with an old friend who is now a millionare. I was amazed at how far I've come personally in these past 5 years since the last time I had seen her. She has so much in the way of material things in comparison to me, and yet my life is so much happier than hers. She is bitter and in a miserable marriage. I left our lunch date with a renewed sense of what's really important in life. The simple things. Love. Appreciation for the small blessings in life. Like having both our feet.

Good one, Jenn. See how diverse we can get with our feet posts? :)
