I love quilts. They are cozy and warm like any blanket, but have the added joy of the loving thought and care that went into making it.
My mom is a quilter. She makes absolutely beautiful quilts. She made my wedding quilt:

She also taught me how to quilt, although I'm really bad at finishing them. Here's one of the first ones I made, a Log Cabin quilt:

Coolio! Love your quilty post. We were on the same "Q" page!
Love you
These are beautiful quilts....I love the wedding quilt your Mom made...and the touchy baby quilt is a great idea...quilt is a popular Q this time...I have a quilt Q also...
I have a collection of wonderful fabrics which one day I plan to use in a quilt....each time I drag out the sewing machine I realise I am not a sewer and stick to what I know best, my card designing! But the bag haunts me!
Beautiful quilts! My mom is also a quilter--made me a graduation quilt, and convinced me to make my own chevron quilt (based on log cabin) which I finished when we were first married, and there's still a baby quilt waiting to be finished for my nephew (now three). One of my favourite newborn pictures of Edmund is him burritoed up in a quilt my mom made for him.
Anyway, any luck accessing my blog?
