Quick Peek of Christmas

I have to get back to chores and kids, but I wanted to share a quick peek from Christmas....

I made some Christmas picture cards in picnik to upload here and on facebook. I made a few and picked one for facebook......I am sharing all of them here:

Na-Nake!

That would be what David says whenever he sees a snake of any kind. He' really, really, REALLY likes snakes.

And so....I made him one for Christmas!

Started by making a template out of newspaper:

Then, I cut it out of the lovely fabric my mom bought me from Pink Chalk Fabrics......and sewed it up, complete with a red fleece tongue:

Filled him with stuffing and sewed up the hole and Ta Da!

...I think he'll be a big hit on Christmas morning!

birds and the snow...

I've been missing my bird friends the last fews weeks, ever since we ran out of bird feed right around Thanksgiving. Our current financial status doesn't leave room for buying more seed at the moment, so I had to pull the feeder inside until more seed could be bought....

It was fun to watch the birds when it had snowed last month. They were much more active at the feeder than normal, as many of their feeding areas were covered in snow!
